Bottom line: after 2 years, a couple of faculty came forward with more allegations. The UNC faculty and students were embarrassed by this whole BUTCH mess. They wanted it cleaned up during 2012, but it's dragged on after Butch was fired. Now it may finally be done. Expect more heads to roll (basketball too). Nyang'oro was facing a felony charge of "obtaining property by false pretenses" from the state, but that charge was dismissed, according to multiple reports. Orange County DA Jim Woodall released the verdict, giving Nyang'oro relief from any local prosecution.
