Title: The future excites Alabama softball coach Patrick Murphy Post by: Jamos on June 05, 2014, 07:16:56 AM The University of Alabama softball team will lose five seniors who were part of one national championship run and who played out their careers with a second-place finish at the Women’s College World Series.
The Crimson Tide will return eight players who are coming off their first World Series run, as well as a few veteran 2015 seniors who were part of the national title team when they were freshmen. http://www.tuscaloosanews.com/article/20140604/NEWS/140609908/1015?Title=The-future-excites-Alabama-softball-coach-Patrick-Murphy Title: Re: The future excites Alabama softball coach Patrick Murphy Post by: Jamos on June 05, 2014, 07:28:26 AM No doubt Murphy will bring back some very promising talent but I'm more interested in the incoming freshmen and what they can add to the team. Right now I think the catcher position is the critical position to fill as Bama loses Fichtner and Jordon and that just leaves Chaunsey Bell as the lone returner at that position. I understand that a catcher from the Gadsden area has been recruited for the catcher position but I don't have any info on her yet. Chaunsey will need some help for sure. Alexis Osorio will replace Traina and those are some big shoes to fill, hopefully she will mature to the college level as quickly as Littlejohn did.

Look forward to seeing them keep on winning and challenging for championships. Thanks for the link Jamos.
