Title: The Battle Plan
Post by: Jamos on April 18, 2014, 06:20:49 AM
Over the past three years, 13 University of Alabama student-athletes have earned NCAA Postgraduate Scholarships, a total that ranks second nationally over that span of time. Only Stanford, with 18, has more and the Cardinal sponsor 36 scholarship sports programs compared to our 17. On both the national and conference level, our academic achievement ranks among the best.

Academics should be the top priority in athletics and I think this really exemplifies what the University of Alabama stands for when recruiting scholars and athletes. When you can rub elbows with schools like Stanford in academics and win national championships in athletics as well, you can say you've reached the top of the mountain. #+

The academic success our athletes are having should not go unnoticed for a job well done.

I addition to the hard work in the classroom our athletes are doing well in the spring sports. I do not recall being this strong in all of our programs.
