Title: Greg McElroy retires from NFL Post by: 2Stater on March 22, 2014, 08:19:05 AM http://espn.go.com/blog/cincinnati-bengals/post/_/id/6417/bengals-greg-mcelroy-retirement-quarterback
I hate to hear it, but I think that he would make a great analyst, if that's the path he chooses. Title: Re: Greg McElroy retires from NFL Post by: cbbama99 on March 22, 2014, 08:22:23 AM That is a shame, but as smart as Greg is, he will be able to do whatever he wants.

He may be the only QB to retire with a perfect record as a starter. He is 1-0 as a result of a 7-6 win as a Jet in his only start. Title: Re: Greg McElroy retires from NFL Post by: pmull on March 22, 2014, 08:34:29 AM I feel sure he has many career options. He will do well for himself whether he stays involved in sports or goes into private business.
I read yesterday a tweet from Bruce Feldman that said he could be the next Kirt Herbstreit. Title: Re: Greg McElroy retires from NFL Post by: Marshal Dillon on March 22, 2014, 10:19:12 AM I feel sure he has many career options. He will do well for himself whether he stays involved in sports or goes into private business. I read yesterday a tweet from Bruce Feldman that said he could be the next Kirt Herbstreit. The difference being McElroy won a National Championship at QB & played for a coaching legend & was surrounded by All Americans. Herbstreit' biggest achievement was leading Ohio State to a tie against Michigan & losing to Georgia in the Citrus Bowl. Greg will most definitely be able to relate on what winning is all about and playing in big games. I can only imagine the Saban stories. #+ #+ #+ Title: Re: Greg McElroy retires from NFL Post by: XBAMA on March 23, 2014, 09:25:36 AM did I mention the Jets management sucks ? :dunno:

Title: Re: Greg McElroy retires from NFL Post by: ricky023 on March 23, 2014, 01:37:32 PM Greg no matter, you could have been a great starting QB but you will do well what ever you choose. Just remember RTR!

He may be the only QB to retire with a perfect record as a starter. He is 1-0 as a result of a 7-6 win as a Jet in his only start. If I'm not mistaken, those 3 games in 2010 are the only games he ever lost as a starter since he started playing when he was 8 years old. :o :o :o :o Title: Re: Greg McElroy retires from NFL Post by: 2Stater on March 24, 2014, 04:56:38 AM That is a shame, but as smart as Greg is, he will be able to do whatever he wants. The SEC Network will have a lot of air time to fill when games are not being shown.
The times I have seen him on TV or radio he is very good. I think this will fit his personality perfectly.
