Title: Re: "Vinnie Sunseri's decision to go pro raised eyebrows, but the former Alabama safety hasn't looke Post by: Chechem on February 28, 2014, 05:25:04 AM Quote "I just feel great," Sunseri said. "The medical staff here at the Combine checked me out and said everything was looking good. Just have to keep moving forward and keep progressing. "I told myself I was going to be ready by four months. It's been four months and I'm ready to start doing my stuff I need to do. I'm pretty persistent in myself and making myself be consistent on what I say I'm going to do. It's been really good so far." Sunseri said any perceived rift between himself and Alabama coach Nick Saban and defensive coordinator Kirby Smart is just that -- perceived. Though Saban's endorsement for Sunseri's decision was far from glowing -- and the school's athletic department never acknowledged it -- Sunseri said both of the coaches had been "very supportive." Saban and Smart disagreed, Sunseri said, but they've remained in communication with him since the final decision. "I respect them so much," Sunseri said. "I'm the player I am because of coach Smart and coach Saban's teachings. I've just really grown from being at Alabama." ... WHO will draft him? Anybody? :popcorn2: :popcorn2: :popcorn2: |
