Title: Gallup: Most wide-open GOP race in 50 years.
Post by: Crimson Phoenix on March 07, 2011, 10:53:11 AM
"For more than half-a-century, the race for the Republican presidential nomination has always featured a clear front runner at this point in the campaign, according to a Gallup analysis out Monday. Not this time."

I respect Palin for being more REAL
than the rest of those usual suspects!

She has a few things that bother me,
but a lot more high standards that
I like...that the others don't have.

Well I like Huckabee, Palin, Gingrich, and then Romney. I do however believe that Palin will not win the Presidents chair but she might just be the first lady Vice-President. I would also like to see Gringrich go in office as President. RTR!

I think I am leaning toward either Huckabee or Romney. I like Sarah and Newt, but I think both are just too polarizing to win. Mike and Mitt are smart and seem to have many of the same values I treasure.

Good choice cbbama99. The 2 you pick will probably win. My prime concern would be if Newt could pick Sarah as his VP partner. RTR!

I am all Huckabee.  I donated to his campaign and helped pass around petitions to get him on the ballot in the Alabama primary last go around.

Well I said I have about 4 in mind but I think your man Gov. Huckabee is going to be hard to beat. RTR!

Whoever it is needs to be fiscally responsible. Romney may not be everyone's favorite, but he is a business man. We need fewer lawyers IMO. Between lawyer politicians and federal judges, there is too much legislating being conducted from the bench and way too little attention being paid to the constitution.

That is as plain and as honest as you can get. RTR!

Do you think Donald Trump has a chance?   He can't make an announcement until the Celebrity Apprentice is over in June but he is certainly hinting around.

I haven't counted him out yet.  Ruthless businessman (we might need this)...but outrageous ego (no, we don't).

I am impressed that his children have grown up so nicely. He must have raised them with good values.  I've never read one single negative thing about them.

I'm just so tired of the same old...same old politicians that will play the same old games with us.  Huckabee might not.

If Trump decides to run people know of his wealth and he might make a good run. I agree his business sense would be greatly needed and his nononesense about 3rd world countries would be a great thing. I look forward to seeing what happens in the next election as it seems each time to be something more and more changing. I hope the change next time is in th right direction instead of what we had this time. We need our defenses built up. RTR!

A dangerous choice! A reliable man of God told me that Huckabee is a phony. I don't trust Huckabe, who obvisly tries to come across
as a goody/goody guy. All that glitters is not gold!

Just think Huckabee is not what he presents hiimself to be.

Don't know what Palin is going to do about running, but my strong Christian friend says she has more sincere Righteousness in her than any of these others.

Palin may be the one who deserves our vote.

I voted for Palin and McCain last time. If she runs for a pres. job with a great VP I would vote for her. If she is a VP for a good Pres. candidate I would vote for them. RTR!

I don't know who I might vote for at this point...

I think....the administrators here don't have to worry about the political forum going crazy...that is unless Biscuit, Irish, Mountain Tider and a few others show up.  They are probably better off where they are.  It's easy to step down a floor to the Thunderdome if things get out of hand. ;)

I agree with you about that bunch of abusive peole staying out of here.

I keep hearing from my friend, who is very close to God, and who prays most of the days and nights, that Sarah Palin has found FAVOR with God. Unlike Huchabee, I believe she is a honest person...Hope she truly is. I don't think ANY other person seeking the office of President is honest!

I was a Huckabee supporter even before Chuck Norris.

IMHO he is the best candidate and I strongly disagree with the comments about him being a phony.  But each person is entitled to their opinion.

I like Sarah as well.  However I don't think she is ready yet.  The press hates her and she needs a little more practice learning how to handle them.  I think it would be hard for her to win in the general election.

I'm moving towards Romney.  He is a successful businessman who could do a lot to bring this country's financial garbage under control. He's a straight up man, imho.
I don't care too much for Sarah however, I do agree with her on quite a few things. I'm not a fan of Donald Trump either.  Huckabee.. I'm on the fence about him. I know he comes across as a strong Christian. I am a Christian but I'm not so sure that being a Christian has to be a requirement. I want a moral, ethical, conservative, honest and hardworking man/woman to do the job and do it well.

I agree Terrie but I do think we need a God fearing person who will lead this country in the right direction. We've been down to long. RTR!

I'm thinking very much like you Terrie....except I haven't totally ruled out Donald Trump....but his ridiculous ego and hairdo might make me change my mind.  He knows business and people though.
