The OC, or any assistant coach, rarely talks with the media. The OC will be in the press box during the games so they will rarely be seen. It really does not matter to be. I have faith CNS will make the best hire possible for the good of the team.
The Coach Nuss situation is hard to figure out. We have been loaded on offense the last two years and scored a lot of points and put up good offensive stats. However, play calling never made sense to me. We would have a team that was struggling to stop the run and we would shoot our self in the foot passing the ball. IMO we seemed to be a pass first team under Nuss rather than a run the ball to set up the pass that we had under McElwain. I agree with MD that Nuss was mostly likely asked to look for another job. Regardless of who CNS hires I doubt you will notice much difference in our offense other than a new wrinkle or two. We may see more no huddle out of our base offense. I hope what we do see is a better rhythm to the play calling.
