Hopefully AJ decides to play in the Senior Bowl.
After all, he's from Mobile, and (as Coach Saban says):

Quote
"I think the Senior Bowl is probably, of all the postseason all-star games, one that's most important for players in terms of their exposure because of the NFL's sort of tie-in with it and the coaches that coach it," Alabama coach Nick Saban said last week. "It's also very important to us because it's in Mobile, in the state of Alabama, and I think there's a lot of interest in how Alabama players -- I'm talking about whatever school they come from in Alabama -- to be involved in the game."

Is he worried that he has more to lose than gain by playing? Why would he not play?

Another undisclosed injury?

This time last year we had no idea he was facing shoulder surgery.

Or it could be that he thinks his draft stock won't rise from playing in the Senior Bowl, and he doesn't want to risk injury.  Starting at Bama for three years, playing in two national championships, I don't think he needs the exposure.

I think it's this more than anything. I'm not even sure he's 100% with his shoulder, right now.

We can all speculate on what AJ needs to do but none of know his situation. He is getting good advise from the coaching staff and should listen to them.

I said in another thread that there is more film on AJ than any other QB in the draft. No QB has played as many big games as AJ. He has started 4 huge games against LSU alone.

Probably more film on AJ then the top 3 QB prospects combined (excluding AJ).
