Title: Recruiting: Misses & Flips Post by: McBaman on December 18, 2013, 06:55:26 PM Been some bumps in the road on recruiting here lately. Some guys picked other schools, some flipped, some re-opened recruitment. Quite a number of them are DBs, which we need. Do you guys think there is some 'trend' away from Bama developing? Or is this the usual ebb & flow of recruiting 18-year old guys?
CNS & staff always have a plan, but I wonder if they are more disappointed than usual with these developments. Title: Re: Recruiting: Misses & Flips Post by: SUPERCOACH on December 18, 2013, 06:57:17 PM Maybe the DB's don't want to compete with Marlon Humphry.
Title: Re: Recruiting: Misses & Flips Post by: pmull on December 18, 2013, 07:15:48 PM Some kids just change their mind. Others are concerned about playing time and stiff competition. We are nearing our limit but we are continuing to recruit so they may have been asked to greyshirt.
I am not worried about it at all. According to the experts we are on track to have the best recruiting class in the Saban era. I'm a bit confused with Hootie's decommitment and I'm hoping that this isn't the beginning of something bad for Bama. Hootie and Marlon Humphrey are very good friends along with the other Monroe, La commits. ??? Title: Re: Recruiting: Misses & Flips Post by: McBaman on December 20, 2013, 07:00:56 PM And now Hampton has committed to OM. The misses keep piling up. Is there a "disturbance in the force" that we are somehow not detecting??
I don't usually pay that close attention to recruiting since the final story isn't written until NSD. But this latest run of misses & flips has gotten my attention. Title: Re: Recruiting: Misses & Flips Post by: ricky023 on December 20, 2013, 10:36:57 PM I wonder if the REC has had info as to what is going on with this? RTR!
