I don't know what happened but this is not the way I thought we would be playing this season. I am not sure what CAG is trying to accomplish here. I thought he had the players and would put them to work but it seems from what I read only that for some reason we don't have the taste for winning. Am I correct to come to this conclusion? RTR!

I think Coach Grant was a point guard, but he seems to have forgotten the need and/or importance for a lot of assists in a game.

We lack two important factors in the game. We do not have a consistent threat from the outside except for Releford, and the lack of a dominating presence inside!! They pack down in the middle which does not allow for any type of penetration to be able to free up the outside shots and no big presence inside for scoring or on the boards. What I wouldn't give for another Erwin Dudley!!

Remember the person who gets the ball must finish for it to be an assist.  Also, I don't know a lot but Bama doesn't seem to have a strong presence inside to get the ball to.  When I watch I never see any defender really rush to a big man after he sets a screen a rolls toward the basket.

Good point, but that's why you have to pass and have plays like the give & go, fast breaks, backdoor cut, etc. We dribble too much, especially around the perimeter, then we cut towards the basket to try and score. Releford is notorious for this. He needs to pass off on occasion when driving with someone breaking towards to basket. Too much dribbling leads to turnovers and lethargy on offense with players standing around.

I agree with all that.  I also think most of the players never look to shoot when they get the ball.  Therefore the defensive player sits back waiting for the dribble and screens.
