If I had a home on Lake Hartwell, I'd sell it too. The lake is almost never full. It takes Ga & SC getting higher than average rainfall in that area for Hartwell to not look like a giant mud puddle.

If you have to drag your boat over 40' of mud to get from the boathouse to the water it would not be a good time to sell. Maybe he wants to move to Lake Burton, so he can hang with the big dogs (CNS and CVD). I just discussed the sale of a second home with a friend. One economic condition we factored into his decision of whether or not to list his property now, was the strong possibilty of hyper-inflation within the next few years. Market conditions are not ideal for selling a resort property (residential) but it is not likely to improve anytime soon. So if CMR wanted to make drastic lifestyle changes in the next 5 years, he might be trying to get a jump on the market by listing now.

I liked CMR answer by wanting to help others. You don't find very many that would sale the home for the opportunity to see someone else be lifted up. I was kind of shocked that something like this made the papers though. RTR!

Lake Hartwell is full now. They have had a lot of rain up there lately. He's prolly trying to sell while lake conditions are good.

I've clicked on that link 5 times trying to figure out who you are talking about. Who is CMR trying to "lift up"?
