Title: Bama... Like It or Not!
Post by: McBaman on November 10, 2013, 09:41:53 AM
To me, this article sums up the attitude most of the media has toward us.  They don't like us but we keep winning.  And winning trumps all else!

Quote
Don’t forget about Mr. Big Game, either. Alabama senior quarterback AJ McCarron attempted just 20 passes and missed a couple of throws in the first half he normally makes. But he tossed three touchdown passes and didn’t have any interceptions.

There was a poignant embrace between Saban and McCarron after the game, their smiles as wide as some of the holes Alabama blew open in the LSU defensive front.

What they don't realize is that this run by Bama has a chance of never being bettered in college football and I'll include Superbowls in professional sports, in other words history being made. When you look back at all of the records in sports that have been made and try to pick some that you feel will never be broken, there's not many. The reason I say what I do about Bama's record of wins is that will there ever be another Nick Saban in college football, I doubt it, he's the difference.

I don't get it. I see no media "hate" reflected in this article or an kind of overall media attitude towards Alabama. Could you be more specific in where you see this in this article? Thanks.

There will never be another John Wooten and I don't think there will ever be another Nick Saban.  :worship:

I think this is a positive article. Everyone wants us to lose because we are so good and doing what has never been done before. My kids will remember this era of Alabama football in 40 years as fondly as I remember the Bear Bryant era. People my age are fortunate enough to experience it twice. It just does not get any better than this and everyone wants what we have.

I think you are right and the folks who are "hating" Bama are the other fan bases. The media, in general, drools over Saban and Alabama's achievements.
