Title: Devotional 5/24/11 Mark 10:23
Post by: ricky023 on May 24, 2011, 09:07:34 AM
"Mark 10:23 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!"

I know a lot of people who read this verse says that no rich man can enter into the Kingdom of God, that is as far from the truth as it can be. When God spoke to his disciples after the young ruler went away saddened, they miss understood him. What Jesus tells us here is that a man who trust in their riches more than God will have a less chance to go into the Kingdom of God.
What are our riches that we trust in more than God, then let's think about it now. There are some smart people in this world, so they trust in themselves more than God. This is trusting your education to be your God. There are rich people here today that trust in their money to do all things, that is wrong, your wealth should be here to help the less fortunate.
What about model looks and being a big time star. Trusting this can lead to worldly ways which takes over our minds in how great we are. I think this should tell us that trusting in anything worldly rather than God is a move toward the wide path that leads to destruction. Today pray we have the wisdom and knowledge to walk back on the narrow path to Heaven. God Bless!.
