Those numbers must be based on actual attendence and not tickets sold. UT returned some tickets this week and they sold immediately. There is also a long waiting list to buy season tickets to Bama games. I know student turnout was poor for the Georgia State and Colorado State games but those tickets were sold.

I was listening to Sirius radio the other day and the hosts were discussing that attendance for football games is down nationally. Various reasons were given; cost, TV availability but they also brought up that young people today like to be connected while watching the games. Further, they predicted that stadiums will eventually offer game blogs, and other assorted electronic venues to draw them in.  :dunno:

They are looking at attendance based on a percentage of capacity.  With 5 teams over 100%, clearly the numbers are skewed.   Bama has the second highest average attendance, behind TN.

Actually, if I'm reading that right, Bama is number 1 in average attendance at 101,679. UT would be 2nd at 93,882.
