Title: Packers Player in ICU After Injury in Game Post by: Marshal Dillon on October 21, 2013, 04:02:00 PM I had heard nothing of this. I am shocked and this is awful.
Quote Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley was in the intensive care unit at a hospital Monday after suffering a neck injury during Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns, league sources told ESPN Senior NFL Insider Chris Mortensen./quote] http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/9857537/jermichael-finley-green-bay-packers-icu-injury Title: Re: Packers Player in ICU After Injury in Game Post by: pmull on October 21, 2013, 04:17:01 PM It looks like he is going to be OK. He is "up and performing daily activities and is in good spirit" according to the article. These are scary injuries when you are on the ground and can not move.
The Cleveland defender got a penalty on the play for leading with the crown of the helmet. Plus, the coach said he suffered a "significant injury." Could he have broken a cervical spine or something else in his neck? Just guessing. I know he is hoping for a full recovery and return to football. Just what I read in the article it sounds like a very serious injury. If he can not return to football he should thank the Lord he is walking away and not being pushed in a wheelchair.
