Louisville was never in, nor were they ever going to be in, the championship discussion but it is good to get out of the way. When we win our 4th in 5 years I don't want a pizz ant team like Louisville trying to claim part of the title.

I agree that they were never a championship team, but they certainly were in the discussion, even as recently as last night's halftime chat.  The talk of it started before the season, and only ended when the clock ticked off 00:00 last night.

Notre Dame wasn't worthy either, but idiots vote undefeated teams #1.   :dunno:

We will never know now. But, IMO I don't think Louisville would have made the BCS game either if they were one of only two unbeaten teams. Their schedule is just too soft.

IMO ND was deserving last year. They won every game and played arguably the most difficult schedule in the country.

I just can not figure out what the guy was thinking to rank Louisville #1 & Ohio State #2. They BOTH play pathetic schedules. Did he think all the other teams would knock each other out of the running for the NC game? pmull said it best, at least we won't have to hear all the UL fans whining and moaning because they were cheated out of the NC even though they were undefeated. After watching their pathetic play against Rutgers, I knew they would lose at least one game, maybe two, especially in a bowl game.
