I'm sure he'll still go high in the draft, but if I was an NFL GM/coach I'd have serious reservations about drafting a guy who took an entire season off.  What's he going to do once he has his millions?

Why should Clowney sweat it? The media has already awarded him the Heisman & the first pick in the NFL Draft. All this based on one tackle in a bowl game against Michigan.

He never wanted to come back this year. He would have have entered the NFL draft if they let him. He looks like a quitter to me. I would be concerned about drafting him next year. Once he gets the big signing bonus he may lose his desire to play and quit again.

He is letting his coaches, teammates and USCe fans down.

Speaking of USCe, I haven't seen jodybaker here this football season. Anyone seen or heard anything from him?

WV is not around any more for him to raise his blood pressure. He may have lost interest.

I think any idea he would be the first pick in the NFL Draft is now gone. Unless some loser franchise like the Jags pick him, I just do not see it. The NFL folks see the same thing we are seeing and the crescendo
of negative stuff about him is only going to get louder. This stuff about him being too hurt to play the last game is going to kill his value in the NFL. Right now, I see him as the 8-10 pick in the Draft, at most.

No doubt Clowney is in it for the glory and the money, his team doesn't factor in at all.

The negative press begins. Read the link, they also discuss Amari Cooper.

Something is going on with South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney.

Sure, various maladies have affected him this season. A bone spur in his foot. A stomach virus. A strained rib cage muscle is the latest. But that doesn't seem like the full story./quote]

This is a damning indictment of this guys attitude. What fool is going to spend multi millions and draft him in the first round or even the 2nd round. This guy is trouble, period.

Quote
In retrospect, he should have. All this season has done is confirm the one knock on Clowney.

“He does what he wants and has a different set of rules,” an NFL scout told WalterFootball.com. “He has the attitude of, ‘What are you going to do, bench me?' He isn’t a great worker and he doesn’t do anything he doesn’t want to do.”/quote]

reminds me of another SC "Mr. Footballs some years ago, D. Watson, when Lou Holtz was there.they guy was a total jerk, got arrested 3 times before he even set foot on campus, Lou couldn't do anything with him, fired him, and then they guy went to SC State (the historically black U), and even they could not do anything with him. He had been babied by the HS coaches, and he never had to do anything he did not want to..in jail today.

Clowney is cut from the same cloth..I am really glad we did not waste a scholarship on the puke.

Got the body of superman, and the brains and heart of a worm.
Glad OBC has him.

I also have it on good authority that he is mostly concerned with hitting on all the girls, white and black,  on campus...and is known for treating them shabbily..just goes to show what his character is..not much.
