I had to go to Bham this morning to the VA doctor. My wait was genuine, he gave me 6 shots in my back. Some of the pain is still down some, and I am getting my marbles back a little. I got some sleep today Praise the Lord. Again I apologize and will try to be more quickly in the morning unless the VA Hospital calls me for appts. in morning again. God Bless you all.

You are lucky in that the guys I know have to sit around the VA all day waiting for treatment. How far is Fruithurst from B'Ham? That drive must be hard on a sore back. Glad you got a nap when you got home. RTR

From my house at Fruithurst, to the VA Parking Deck is 92 miles, with my back it feels like a 192. lol RTR!

Do they still pay travel money for gas?  My little brother and I used to go there with Daddy when we were kids.  They always paid the travel money in $2 bills and we would beg Daddy into giving us each one.  We always rode up and down the elevators while he was waiting to see the doctors.  We knew the whole layout pretty well back then.  When I was about 14 he started letting me drive down there on I-59.  My little brother was terrified that I was going to get us killed.

LOL, well Sc they was paying us travel pay and actually in $2 dollar bills. Last month they started implementing the cuts by obama and they stop paying our travel pay. My wife has a pile of $2 bills, she is saving. I don't know why but she says she is going to give our granddaughter a couple and who knows with the rest. RTR!

Yep, we saved them for a little while too.  But eventually we spent them on junk, probably baseball cards or something.
