Former Foley High football standout Julio Jones matched the biggest game of his professional career in leading the Atlanta Falcons to a 31-24 victory over the St. Louis Rams on Sunday.

The Atlanta wide receiver caught 11 passes for 182 yards and one touchdown. The former Alabama star's touchdown reception came in the first quarter on an 81-yard play, the longest of his NFL career.

Video of Julio's play was in the halftime report during later games.

He also carried my fantasy team this week, but a poor performance (statistically) by Drew Brees will cost me the win I think.

I'll take a fantasy loss with Bama and the Saints at 2-0.

The only downside to the machine that Saban has built at Alabama is that as a Saints fan I now have divided loyalties.  Last week when the Saints played the Falcons (no love between those two teams) I had mixed feelings every time Julio touched the ball.  This morning, same thing with Mark Barron.  He made some big plays, and had one pass interference call, in a close game.  I wanted the Saints to win, but at the same time I was happy to see Barron playing well.  I just can't root against Bama players even when they're hurting my Saints.

That is just one reason that I don't watch the NFL... I can't stand to have to pull for both teams because of former Bama players playing for each team...

I like the Saints too, but my loyalties are stronger with the college game.  Julio is turning into the superstar we expected, and I am have no problems rooting for the Falcons -- but I've been to both Saints and Falcon home games.
