Title: Gameplan for aTm
Post by: ALTideUp on September 08, 2013, 12:02:27 PM
Step 1 - Keep the ball and control the clock

Step 2 - Make JM into a pocket passer, and show him looks he thinks he understands but doesn't

Step 3 - Intercept ball and go to Step #1

Step 2 is the crucial one. I am sure that JM is a very instinctive player, and he will make things happen if enough time elapses to turn a planned offensive play and defensive response into a school yard mess. Keep him in the pocket and limit his options to improvise and the time he has to make decisions. JM in the pocket making quick reads will be as ugly as Tebow in the pocket making quick reads.

Step 1 will be hard.  They can't play defense.  I guess we could run 10 yards then take a knee.  :dunno:

I found out an update on their suspended defensive players last night.  In week 1 they had 6 players suspended.  Yesterday they only had 3 suspended, not all 6.  They will be back for the Bama game, but I think they've suffered some key injuries on defense too.  Couple that with our offense wanting to prove themselves after week 1, and it may be a perfect storm.

I won't say 98-0, but maybe 98-14.  :dunno:

I'll take 15-14.  We have the advantage big-time, but it's at their pacle.  Just win.
Their D will play well, because they have to and they've prepared for months.  I plan to enjoy it.

I agree.  This should be a hard fought game that goes down to the fourth quarter.  Their D line is suspect, but so is Bama's O Line.  Our D looks very impressive this year, as does TA&M's offense.  So it is strength vs. strength, and weakness vs. weakness (as least for now).  I think Bama wins, and I'll be happy with a win, even a very close one.

The way I see victory Sat. at TA&M is to keep Manzeil off the field. Defense, defense and more defense. RTR!

I think Chech has the best game plan. AJ takes JF for a night on the town. AJ is drinking Capt. Morgan and Diet Coke, without the Capt. Morgan. JF is drinking Everclear. Won't be possible for aTm to run the HUNHO against us with JF running to the sideline every other play to spew Gatorade.  :lol2:

I also hope they win the toss and take the ball.  This could be one less defensive series Bama has to play.

I have a feeling this will be hard to do, he will be sleeping at CKS house.  I guess you could say under house arrest.
