Title: AP Preseason Football Poll Post by: Marshal Dillon on August 17, 2013, 07:46:41 PM I don't understand all the love for Georgia. They are 5th in the poll and even got a first place vote. They lost a ton of talent on defense and must play Clemson, USC (back-to-back), LSU, Vandy, Florida, & even Georgia Tech.

Having said that, I don't think they will beat Clemson on the road and will have their hands full with SC at home. I can see them losing at least 2 games with their defensive losses. :popcorn2: Title: Re: AP Preseason Football Poll Post by: 2Stater on August 17, 2013, 08:48:37 PM I don't understand all the love for Georgia. Their lack of early Fulmer Cup points suggests that they may have different results. :lol2: Title: Re: AP Preseason Football Poll Post by: bama87 on August 18, 2013, 12:49:46 PM I personally like playing from the lead. Better sometimes to be the hunted rather than than the hunter.
Title: Re: AP Preseason Football Poll Post by: ricky023 on August 18, 2013, 01:46:47 PM Well the reason I don't like being number ONE is because you can always play up but it is no fun being knock down. It is very hard to get back to the #2 spot without a lot of help. RTR!

Title: Re: AP Preseason Football Poll Post by: Marshal Dillon on August 19, 2013, 06:19:35 PM Hey, isn't it time we had an undefeated season? I have thought it might be possible this year. A&M is toast, in my opinion, LSU has huge losses on defense, & the real challenge will be in the SECCG. Title: Re: AP Preseason Football Poll Post by: Catch Prothro on August 19, 2013, 07:17:48 PM Hey, isn't it time we had an undefeated season? Yeah, they did lose some defensive players (who really weren't that impressive in my opinion), but with Murray and Gurley back, the offense will be the best in the East. USCe brings back most of its team; it will have a great defense, decent rushing game and surprisingly inept QB play for a Spurrier team. A lot of experts think they could do something this year, but they're still missing a QB IMO. Florida will be strong again on D, and we'll see if there is any improvement on Offense. Really, that is what separates Georgia from USCe and Florida, offense. The other two have better defenses, so if they could get some offensive play, that side of the conference could be a three horse race. |
