Title: Jim Tressel Legacy Passed on to Urban Meyer Post by: Marshal Dillon on July 22, 2013, 01:44:42 PM The sleazy recruits at Ohio State continue to astound.
 Quote A published report says Ohio State coach Urban Meyer has kicked starting tailback Carlos Hyde off the team after an alleged assault against a female in Columbus. In a separate incident, first-team cornerback Bradley Roby is being investigated over another assault in Indiana. http://msn.foxsports.com/collegefootball/story/ohio-state-coach-urban-meyer-dismisses-rb-carlos-hyde-investigating-arrest-of-qb-bradley-roby-072213 Title: Re: Jim Tressel Legacy Passed on to Urban Meyer Post by: Marshal Dillon on July 22, 2013, 04:26:21 PM Interesting article from SI.
Quote The secondary could be a different story. Zimmermann said losing Roby would be a bigger hit than losing Hyde. “Roby, the team’s first or second best defender, is even costlier if he’s suspended for a long period of time. The investigation is still ongoing, and the team is still looking into the details,” Zimmermann said. “His arrest is a misdemeanor Class A and was apparently a bar-room scuffle. Players charged with the same type of misdemeanor in the past have been dismissed sight unseen if they were walk-ons or role players, but some of the star players, the staff will wait for all the details to emerge. If he does plead down or the charges are lessened, the suspension might be smaller.” http://college-football.si.com/2013/07/22/ohio-state-carlos-hyde-bradley-roby/?sct=hp_t2_a4&eref=sihp :popcorn2: Title: Re: Jim Tressel Legacy Passed on to Urban Meyer Post by: Jamos on July 22, 2013, 08:02:58 PM Knowing Meyer, they'll probably have to sit out the first half of the first game. :eyeroll:

A few years ago, they had the biggest "Holier than thou" attitude of any team in the country. They've done a 180 since then, and you're right, J, because they are now winning, the penalties for these thugs will be little or nothing. Yeah he's not going to do ANYTHING to screw up his little win streak that he has going. Yeah he's not going to do ANYTHING to screw up his little win streak that he has going. If he keeps his little win streak going the SEC, most likely us, will end it for him. I really am hoping for that this year. Last year was a dream come true, thrashing our old nemesis ND. It would be great to have DCT II this year by us matching up with tOSU, and sending Urbane back to the heart clinic. I hear he does a pretty good Fred Sanford imitation.
