Title: ACC Announces 2014 Bowl Lineup
Post by: Marshal Dillon on July 18, 2013, 10:29:59 PM
I am just amazed at how far the Orange Bowl has fallen in recent years. For many years, in my opinion, it was the best bowl game out there. Now they have the ACC with great traditional football teams like Va. Tech, UNC, Boston College, Wake Forest & the rest for fans to watch. I can't wait.

The ACC champion, as previously announced, is contracted to play in the Orange Bowl for the next 12 years when the game is not part of the semifinal rotation in College Football Playoff. All other bowl agreements announced by the ACC today are a six-year deal through 2019

How in the world can ACC fill that many bowls without doing it with teams with losing records. I think this was a very wrong choice for many of the bowls. I would think maybe 3 bowls or 4 no way all these named. RTR!

ACC has 14 teams now, 7 bowls.  So they're allowing for half the conference being bowl eligible.  (Notre Dame almost makes it 14.5 teams.)

Yep, because nothing says exciting bowl game like having Wake Forest or NC State involved.  :eyeroll:
