My daughter just told me that the news on tv said Julio Jones was hit by a speeding driver breaking both of his legs. I didn't find anything on the internet verifying this.

Here is an internet story about Jones from 4 hours ago.  No mention of accident.

I found it.

A spokesperson for the Atlanta highway safety authority (HSA) has confirmed that Julio Jones has broken both of his legs in a traffic altercation. He has been transported via ambulance to a local Atlanta hospital for treatment, and the full extent of his injuries are not known at this time, however, both of his legs were visibly broken and not life threatening according to sources.

Just great! Some half-blind little old lady slams into Julio's car and may have ruined his NFL career and long-term health and the Falcons chance at a Super Bowl.

It would be a very unusual car accident that would break both legs.

Darn internet rumors.  I saw that 3-4 different places yesterday, but everything led back to that link.  That's apparently some type of template news story that you can enter anyone's name into a form and generate a link like that with a story containing their name.

My bad on this one, sorry everyone. On sports forums, they always say that if there's not a link to substantiate the subject, then it's a rumor. I think that theory is no longer good enough, these computer geeks are something else.

The fact they are singling out Julio Jones tells m it's either a Falcons hater or a Tennessee or Auburn fan.

Julio isn't really being singled out.  That mediafetcher website has tons of templates for stories like these that you can put anyone's name into.  This "story" has broken with Peyton Manning, Ben Rothlisberger, and many many more athletes in the last couple years.  This is actually the second time the rumor has gotten started with Julio.

I think he can beat 'em with 2 broken legs. He's pretty good, ya know.  8)

This sounds like the beginning of some "Chuck Norris" type jokes with Julio.
