Title: SEC Tournament sees smallest Alabama-LSU baseball game ever in Hoover Post by: Jamos on May 22, 2013, 07:48:53 PM Bama has played against two of their biggest rivals this week and can't get a decent crowd to either game. I know that Bama and Auburn's programs are way down from what we have seen in the past, but LSU has a very high ranked team and their crowd didn't follow then either. Maybe the economy is playing a role in this as well or maybe the interest in baseball is declining. It seems though, that in the past when Bama and Auburn didn't bring good respected teams to the SEC tournament, the tournament did struggle some. :dunno:

The top of the first looked like a little league game, and resulted in us going into a 0-3 hole. The rest of the game was 14 hits scattered over 8 innings, air so thick Ted Williams couldn't have hit one out, and very little drama or excitement.
There was a threat of rain and t-storms that may have kept some locals at home. |
