They have a VERY good reputation, as do most of the Madison City Schools. This is the first I'm hearing about this though. I think it's kind of silly to ban the word, but then again, I have absolutely no problem with not engaging in Easter festivities at school. In fact I think I'd prefer it. I guess Christmas will also be a banned word.
Funny how all this works...if they'd banned "Passover" or "Ramadan" or something of that nature they'd be crying civil rights violations. Why is it that only the minorities have protected rights anymore? I understand that and can't blame the school or the principal. The thing that upsets me though is the point that HL makes. Christians are expected to bend over backwards so as not to offend the delicate sensibilities of someone who might have a break down if their innocent ears hear a certain word. Please. I guess they can't study about Easter Island in geography class either.

Unless it's just a popularity contest, cause everyone likes the gifts and all.
