Title: Rating the Replacements for Alabama This Year-Bleacher Report Post by: Marshal Dillon on April 22, 2011, 02:48:17 PM I'm just not sold on A. McCullough as a left tackle.

Unfortunately that would be the case with several of our lineman. We're deep everywhere except LT and C. I think the staff will be very happy if the new guy (the JuCo who originally went to Tennesseee - I'm drawing blank) can start and we have AM and Jones as backups.

As to the Douglas/McCollough battle, I would not be at all surprised to see both sharing reps to keep fresh legs in a key position (particularly with rookie QBs).

We have a good set of depth that we didn't have last year but,,We must not let up on a score this year like we did last year. Quit shutting our offense down just because we are up by 42! If you put in the 2nd team or 3rd team let them go score if it is at all possible. I love CNS but He didn't keep pumped in 2nd half of the game last year. NO WAY an Alabama Football team is up 24 at half and looses by 1 pt. RTR! Jones is something they are seriously looking at but would rather have him at guard. I would not rule out Cyrus K. He reminds me of Andre Smith. Douglas got pushed around in the A-Day game. His size is a concern. I expect them to beef him up but I do not think that will help for this fall.
I think the coaching staff game out of spring practice with an idea of what they need to do. I expect the O-Line to be a strength this year. |
