SEC All-Freshman team
Alabama, Florida and Texas A&M each placed four players on the 2012 SEC All-Freshman Team as selected by the league coaches.

Below is a look at the entire team. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players:

OFFENSE

TE -- Jerell Adams, South Carolina
OL -- John Theus, Georgia
OL -- D.J. Humphries, Florida
OL -- Brandon Shell, South Carolina
OL -- Vadal Alexander, LSU
C -- Ryan Kelly, Alabama

RK has been under my radar this season. I know his name was not called like some of the other freshmen but he seems to have impressed some of the other SEC coaches. RTR

I was surprised by Kelly making this team too. He is expected to be our center next year. Barrett Jones rarely was not in the game except mop up duty. I don't remember Kelly playing any meaningful snaps. I hope the people that picked him for this award knows more than me. I supect he may be one of the only freshman centers in the year that played at all.
