Title: Rekindled Stack-Eaton enjoying gymnastics, life at Alabama
Post by: pmull on April 14, 2011, 08:17:23 AM
Alabama gymnastics goes for for its fifth national championship this weekend in Cleveland, OH. Geralen Stack-Eaton is a big reason why.

Quote
This weekend in Cleveland, Stack-Eaton hopes to lead top-seeded Alabama to its fifth national championship.

She comes into the meet ranked No. 2 in the nation on the balance beam, No. 11 on the uneven bars, No. 16 on vault and No. 22 on the floor exercise. She is ranked No. 14 in the all-around, but only Penn State's top-ranked Sharaya Musser (39.725) has scored higher than the career-high 39.675 that Stack-Eaton posted in a February victory over Kentucky.

"Doing gymnastics and getting an education, this is a way for Geralen to have a better life," Patterson said. "It's very rewarding to have seen the fun put back into the sport. She's talented beyond belief -- probably one of the most physically gifted athletes that we've ever coached. She is light years away from the person she was when she was a freshman."

Roll Tide!

I'm guessing this will be on TV.  Does anybody know what channel it is on?
