Close loss to Arizona sends up some warning signals. Don't know much about them, but it sounds like CAG and the guys can't let their guard down.

When listening to a BB game on the radio I like to also follow it on Gametracker. It gives instant stats and information I find interesting.

I thought Gametracker was delayed a few minutes. Am I thinking os something else?

Gametracker is instat at times and a few minutes behind at times. When getting current scores on the radio you can be checking out free throw stats, FG %, rebounding numbers, etc. I like that stuff for some reason.

Yeah, I really enjoy that stuff & baseball stats, too. It's called being a stats nerd & it gives you a better "view" of the game.

Bama up 7-0 with 16:33 to play in the 1st half.

Bama leads 13-10 at the 12:00 time out.

CSU went on a run and lead 18-13. Bama has tied the score 18-18 at the 8:00 time out. Bama is very sloppy.

We should be blowing these guys out.

Bama is shooting 48% from the field. 5-13 from 3 pt for 38%. We have 15 rebounds.

CSU is 42% shooting but they are 6-11 for 55% from 3 pt. They have 16 rebounds.

Bama hits some big shots late in the 1st half to take the lead. CSU played us very close most of the half.

Releford had 15 1st half points. Pollard and Randolph had 5 each.

Jacobs played 4 minutes with 2 pts and 2 fouls.

Bama leads 36-32 with 14:00 to go. We have not scored in 6 second half minutes.

Sloppy ball handling. D is not really doing much right now.

Jacobs just can't get it going so far this year. Lacey misses 3 from top of the key. 39-34 Tide with timeout. We seem to be sleep-walking in the 2nd half. We haven't played in several days, so we can't be tired.

Too many fouls! Now they T up Grant for asking what foul Gueye committed. CSU hits technical, but when they try a regular shot, Gueye blocks it. Gueye fouled rebounding missed shot. He misses both FT's. Technical called on CSU player. Releford hits both FT's. Releford has 20 points. 49-41 Tide

CSU hits 3, 55-46 Tide. Randolph hits 2 in paint. 57-46 Tide. Tide steals ball, Tide holding ball with clock going down. Releford throws lob and Pollard slams it down. 59-46 Tide. Tide gets missed CSU shot. Tide wins 59-46 and Releford has 22 with 7 assists.

Well done guys on here for us. Good to see the Tide Roll like this. If we could get healthy and keep improving we might give a good run for the SEC this year. Thanks everybody. RTR!

We will have a very difficult time in league play against a zone like that if our bigs do not improve their ability to catch the ball above their heads, keep it there, and shoot. Were it not for a bit of a 3 threat from Randolf and Lacey, we'd have had a very close scrape tonight.

It was good a win for the Tiders tonight but probably not what everybody was looking for after the big trip to Madison Square Garden last weekend.

I'm starting to see a trend with CAG in these lesser games that gives me a different opinion than what some of you might think of these type games. It looks to me that CAG is working on every aspect of the team in these games. He tries different variations of the players which can sometimes make the team's play look pretty sloppy. These is on offense as well as defense. To me it is no more than a good scrimmage with the players, only it is real time and the score counts. This is what builds the experience needed when conference time rolls around with the NCAA tournament following.

Maybe I can be a little more forgiving toward the players in the future as I watch Bama battle these teams in the future and they aren't looking so good. ;) RTR!

I thought it was a good win for the Tide. We certainly did not play our best on offense but the defense played a good game. We held them to 46 points. Chris Stewart on the radio and CAG in his interview both said the 3 points shots they made in the 1st half were difficult shots with a man in their face.

It was good to see Randolph find his shot last night. I watched him play several times in high school and he could shot the outside shot. I don't expect him to be the guy every night but it is good to have options.

Releford has been a good player for us since the first time he stepped on the floor as a freshman. For two years I said if he could develop an outside shot he would be a complete player. So far this year he is knocking down 3's. He had 22 pts going 5-8 from 3 pt line. It looks like he worked on his shot all summer.

I am still concerned about our post play. Engstrom had maybe his best game at Bama with 8 rebounds and 6 pts in 22 minutes. Gueye had 1 rebound and 1 pt in 10 minutes. Jacobs must still be having trouble with his sore ankle. He had 2 pts, 1 rebound in 8 minutes. We were out rebounded 37 to 36 and gave up 15 offensive rebounds. Pollard played well from his forward position. He had 9 points and 7 rebounds.

Rodney Cooper missed the game with a sore shoulder. We need to get him back soon. We only have 10 scholarship players and we need everyone healthy. Cooper is especially valuable because of his length he can play guard or forward.

Overall a good win for Bama. We play Lamar next in Tuscaloosa on Tuesday.
