Title: FSU and the Respect Issue Post by: ALTideUp on November 20, 2012, 04:51:43 PM In an idle moment I swung over to the FSU boards to inspect the chatter. Posts responding to the new BCS rankings were lamenting their low ranking, sitting behind several 2-loss teams. Part of their argument that they are being disrespected rests on their big win over Clemson. I did a little snooping around in both their schedules.
I come to the conclusion that FSU AND Clemson are grossly overrated. Neither of them has played anyone and their OOC wins are a joke. I didn't do all the math, but it seems like the ACC has more in-conferecne losses than wins. That may be a mathematical impossibility, but if anyone can do it, it's the ACC. SEC 14 Pac-12 8 Big 12 6 ACC 2 Maybe that's why FSU has an image problem. This is exactly why they are not even ranked in some of the computers. Title: Re: FSU and the Respect Issue Post by: McBaman on November 20, 2012, 10:41:13 PM This kinds sounds like RPI for a basketball team's schedule. This simple concept of for FSU to schedule some heavyweight non-conf games. They could play Bama every 3 - 4 years like VaTech does. They need to acknowledge that they already have their cupcake games in their ACC sched.
Title: Re: FSU and the Respect Issue Post by: pmull on November 21, 2012, 08:36:26 AM FSU has a weak strength of schedule and a bad loss to NC State. NC State has a loss to winless in the SEC Tenn and a lossing record in the ACC. FSU can not complain. They had their chance to join the SEC and they decided to join a basketball league.
