Title: Alabama Basketball Recruiting Thread Post by: pmull on November 14, 2012, 02:03:38 PM I don't have a link but Alabama commitments Jimmy Taylor and Shannon Hale signed to play for the Tide today.
Jimmy Taylor is a 6-10 220 lb center from Greensboro, AL. He is a 4 star recruit. He is the #1 player in the state and #6 center in the 2013 class. He is listed in the ESPN Top 100. Shannon Hale is a 6-8 210 lb power forward fron Johnson City, TN. He is a 4 star recruit and the # 19 PF in the 2013 class. I'll post a link as soon as I find one. Tidesports reported they had signed on their pay site. What little I could read was not worth posting. Comments by National Basketball Analyst Eric Bossi on these two players: Alabama has a solid class that features two big men that are athletic and who should be able to help them compete on the glass down the road. They don't have to get a third commitment, but I think they'd still really like to find a guy who can handle the ball and make some plays for himself or others via the dribble. That comment really dumbfounds me. Once we get into basketball maybe we can all get use to coming here for hoops rather than mixing stuff up with football.
