I remember 1979 as a dominating team with an undefeated record. I had forgot we had that close call at LSU.

Well that was a year CBB had although LSU as always plays us hard. If my memory serves me correctly we was National Champions in 1979 also. Correct me if I am wrong. RTR!

We won the National Championship in 78 and 79. That is the last time we won back-to-back tiles. I hope to change that this year.

Yes sir that was what I was thinking. We are back playing better than I ever I think. The only standing between us and a National Championship, is US ourselves. RTR!

Funny how some memories stick out to you. I remember this game was not on TV. I was 15 years old and was at a note-burning ceremony for paying off the debt on our local volunteer fire department. We were bundled up in jackets in there, listening to the game. Good times...
