Title: LSU plan for A J McCarron
Post by: Merk on November 01, 2012, 09:58:44 PM
Is it just me or is anyone else concerned that AJ has a bullseye on his back by LSU trying to knock him out of the game thinking that's their best chance to win Saturday?
Frankly, it would not surprise me a bit if they try to hurt him.

I hope I'm wrong about this but it seems to be their MO.

What do y'all think?

LSU and every other team on our schedule. A couple of problems. AJ is pretty tough and he has a bunch of big, mean men hell-bent on protecting him. After the MSU game, I am not sure the corn dogs want a piece of PE either. JMHO

I am very concerned about the right side of the O-line.  They have been beaten several times this year.  They will come after him, not necessarily to intentionally hurt him, but they have to put pressure on him if they are going to have any chance.  I look for a lot of short passes and screens to get the ball out before they have a chance.  Eventually they will have to start staying home and then maybe we can take some shots down field.

yep, Mingo is NFL talent, and a force to be reckoned with.  I think AJ will have less time in the pocket than past games, but he was able to handle it last year in the BCSCG.

No doubt they will come after him, probably right over Fluker most of the time.  Maybe we'll see some roll out pass plays to mitigate this rush.

I think they were better last year than they are this year
Mingo does concern me but AJ and Company handle them all just
fine the last game ... so I'll go with that ...
