This was one of my all time favorites. I remember in 1973 I had buried my dad the week of LSU. It was kind of tight but Musso took a hand off and dove in the air over an LSU guy from the 5 yard line and landed in the end zone. It was happiest I had been all that week. RTR!

Not sure who we were playing, but our first game, at Legion Field, maybe 1971?
We won the toss, and elected to receive!  announcer John Forney went nuts!

We lined up, ran an option play, then lined up again..NO HUDDLE!  ran option again!

I was listening on the radio, and the crowd was going crazy!

ran it all the way to the 5 yr line..Musso fumbled.

And people think the no huddle offense is new..CPBB had it way back then.

BTW, we had those tear-away jerseys, NCAA outlawed em. !%#!

I think you are talking about the night Alabama introduced the wishbone against USC.  I don't remember the no huddle but we beat a top ranked USC team that night and had a pretty good run with the wishbone. Back in those days John Forney and Bear Bryant was Alabama football.
