LSU to face TCU in 2013 opener

LSU is returning to the Cowboys Classic and will take on TCU to open the 2013 season.

The game will be played at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Saturday, Aug. 31 and will be televised by either ABC, ESPN or ESPN2.

LSU kicked off the 2011 season with a 40-27 win over Oregon in the Cowboys Classic. Alabama played in the game to open this season and defeated Michigan 41-14.

The LSU-TCU matchup will be the first between the schools since 1968 when the Tigers beat the Horned Frogs 10-7 in Tiger Stadium.

Glad to see LSU even attempting to schedule a respectable OOC game. Try and name one besides Oregon. Oh, and WVU (beast of East). :-[
