Title: Anthony Grant proud of what Crimson Tide did, optimistic about what it can do

NEW YORK - The 2010-11 Alabama basketball team fell one victory short of winning the school's first NIT championship, and it finished three short of equaling the most victories in school history.

With a 66-57 loss to Wichita State on Thursday, the Crimson Tide finished with a 25-12 record.

Not bad for a team that looked to be going nowhere in December.

"I'm really proud of what our guys accomplished over the course of the season," second-year coach Anthony Grant said.

"When you look at where we started, the things we had to overcome, really, go back a year ago from today and where our program's come from. ..."
