Title: "SEC bowl projections"
Post by: WALL-E on September 23, 2012, 11:10:02 AM
SEC bowl projections
At this rate, there could be five SEC teams ranked in the top 10 two weeks from now, which makes it impossible to predict the bowl lineup. But here's the way we see it after Week 4:

Discover BCS National Championship Game, Jan. 7: Alabama
Allstate Sugar Bowl, Jan. 2: LSU
Capital One Bowl, Jan. 1: Georgia
AT&T Cotton Bowl, Jan. 4: South Carolina
Outback Bowl, Jan. 1: Florida
Chick-fil-A Bowl, Dec. 31: Mississippi State

I think Georgia and South Carolina may both be better than LSU.

I'll withhold judgment until after UF game. But it looks suspicious for sure.

They can work their way back up on my list if they do better.  I have a lot of movement on my ballot from week to week.  As new information comes in, I replace perceptions that I had with the reality I see on the field.

I also think Auburn may be better than I originally thought.  They lost to Clemson, Mississippi State, and now LSU... all decent teams.  They barely beat ULM, but ULM is a much better team than they get credit for.

I really don't think LSU is as weak as they looked this weekend. I do knnow they have to leave where I have been placing them. RTR!

Agreed.  They both have better offenses than LSU, and their defenses are pretty stout too.  I'm sticking with my statement that Bama's toughest game will be the SECCG.

LSU stills needs a QB. I thought Mettenberger was better than he is. He made the barn defense look good for the first time since Chiz took over.

I think UGA and USCe are pretty good. If LSU gets even decent QB play they will be good. The jury is still out on Florida and Miss State.
