#2 overall   :o :o

Quote
Analysis: Warmack is as good as any guard prospect I've ever evaluated, and the rare guard worthy of a top-10 pick. He is agile, athletic and strong. The classic interior tough guy who is also a very smart player....

I've spent more time watching the OL this year than I normally do, particularly Warmack.  He's an exceptional guard.  He does a great job of not only manipulating his opponent's position, but also direction/orientation.  He turns people away from the play really well so that they have no chance of making a play even if they some how get off the block.  He's tremendous pulling as well.

Now, with all that said, I don't believe that any guard will go #2 in the draft.  A top 15 pick would be an elite guard.  Fluker is not nearly as polished of a player as Warmack at this point, but he'll likely go higher in the draft.

McShay also mentions another SEC pass rusher moving up. You had to subscribe to see but---Adrian Hubbard? My bad--only a soph.

I'd guess Jarvis Jones.

Edit - yeah, it has to be.  He's listed at #4.

How many do we have projected to go in the first round?

IDK, at work now without full access.

One problem (albeit minor):  Our O-line players will split votes for national awards.  Barrett Jones and Warmack definitely will both be nominated for many.  It's a great problem to have!

I use to worry about Chance W. but that was a couple of years ago. I use to think he missed blocks on purpose but now he has grown into the Guard everybody would want to be. I see Georgia has two in the Top 5. This kind of talent should make them a lot better team. RTR!

Agree. Unless some team has an incredible problem at guard, I just don't see a overall #2. Of course, a team trying to have a good rushing attack, like the Browns, Steelers, Jets, Cowboys, or someone else, I don't see anything higher than a #6-10 pick.
