Title: Big Name Players Don't Survive NFL Cut

Very interesting and somewhat sad for those who showed great promise.

Vince Young was waived Monday morning by the Buffalo Bills shortly after the team finalized a trade with Seattle to acquire quarterback Tarvaris Jackson.

Seattle tackle Alex Barron: The No. 19 overall pick in the 2005 draft, Barron committed too many penalties for five seasons as a St. Louis Rams starter. The Dallas Cowboys learned that the hard way in the 2010 season-opener after acquiring Barron in a trade.

The Vince Young situation is a prime example of poor recruiting and knowing who they were drafting. The word out of Texas was Young could not comprehend offensive plays, so Texas had 5 basic plays they used with Young. Plus, he scored like a 6 on the intelligence test they give at the NFL Combine. All kinds of red flags but the Titans took a risk and used a very high draft pick on him. Amazing.
