Title: Cecil Hurt: "Big-team matchups like Bama-Mich may be ending" Post by: Chechem on August 26, 2012, 07:36:55 AM http://alabama.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1400904
Quote Fans making the early-season pilgrimage to Cowboys Stadium, whether they come from Tuscaloosa or Ann Arbor, may be witnessing the end of an era - or the beginning. No one is quite sure what will happen to games pairing big-time college football programs from different conferences in the future. Some think that, as leagues expand and more schools find themselves with nine-game conference schedules (the Southeastern Conference seems to be floating in that direction, too), sheer economics will deter teams from giving up home games. Money was a consideration for Michigan that almost scuttled Saturday's game between the Wolverines and Crimson Tide... The 4-team playoff will have its down side for sure. :( Title: Re: Cecil Hurt: "Big-team matchups like Bama-Mich may be ending" Post by: McBaman on August 26, 2012, 11:25:01 AM Cecil, of course, as always makes a good point. But the flip side is that the playoff matchups will create some games that schedule-makers won't. Just sayin'.

These start up games shows we are upstanding program. The ones who turn them down are the real losers. JMHO. RTR!
