Post by: MDB Tide Roll on March 30, 2011, 08:00:45 PM Oscar meyer pre-cooked bacon is the best invention since sliced bread. Pop it in the microwave for 35 seconds and I have crispy reduced fat bacon.
I love bacon sandwiches for breakfast. No lettuce necessary. (http://dinnerwithjulie.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/bacon-tomato-sandwich-small.jpg) Title: Re: Bacon is back... When the microwave stops, the bacon is cooked but not yet crisp, I just let it rest until the toast is done and by that time it's crisp. Title: Re: Bacon is back... Are you calling my Granny Un-American? >:( She's the one that taught me this. Title: Re: Bacon is back... Post by: BAMAWV on March 30, 2011, 08:29:20 PM Bless her heart. Maybe she is afraid you will burn yourself. Look. FRY 1lb. of bacon. Eat a couple slices while bread toasts. Apply mayo with serving spoon (knife takes too long). Enjoy! Hope this helps.
Title: Re: Bacon is back... Post by: SUPERCOACH on March 30, 2011, 08:34:27 PM We cook regular bacon in the microwave all the time. It doesn't have to be a special kind. We have a little round plate that is made for cooking bacon in the microwave. It has grooves that hold the bacon up off the plate. It works great, and tastes just like it was fried in an iron skillet. It is much faster and you don't get any of those little grease burns from when it pops out on your hand.

Au contraire, cooking anything in the microwave is about as American as you can get. :D Title: Re: Bacon is back... Post by: BAMAWV on March 30, 2011, 08:40:02 PM Bless her heart. I can only have 1 piece of regular bacon. I can have 4 of the pre-cooked stuff. Granny has one of those special plates for bacon, too. She just figured out the other stuff for me. Never did with bacon. Title: Re: Bacon is back... Post by: Allie on March 31, 2011, 09:13:49 AM If I'm in a hurry and have a large quatity of bacon to cook I throw it in the fry daddy.
