Title: Five Alabama players earn first-team All-SEC honors from media
Post by: pmull on July 19, 2012, 10:00:12 AM
Five on the first team with three of those on the O line. Five more on the second team and two on the third team. Over half of our starters are pre-season All-SEC. I can't wait. This is going to be another fun team to watch.

The Crimson Tide's first-team picks include three offensive linemen: center Barrett Jones, tackle D.J. Fluker and Chance Warmack. On defense, Alabama linebacker Nico Johnson and safety Robert Lester are first-team picks.

On the second team, Alabama placed running back Eddie Lacy, defensive linemen Jesse Williams and Damion Square, linebacker C.J. Mosley and cornerback Dee Milliner.

On the third-team, Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron and tight end Michael Williams were selected.

‏@Andrew_Gribble SEC West has 20 preseason 1st-team players, SEC East has 6. The gap continues to grow.

Lacy is 2nd team?  Good, but Lattimore is first and I guess Knile Davis is 3rd?  I'm surprised.

Good for Lacy!

Lacy is a beast, but Lattimore has more carries.

I think Lacy has a great year and blows past Lattimore. Lacy has the greal O-line plus a much-improved QB threat in McCarron. Plus, Lacy will have a rushing average much more impressive than Lattimore.
