Great article, X. Thanks for posting.

Quote
"He's one of those guys that has all the talent in the world to do whatever he wants to do. I don't think he gets enough credit for the talent he's got."

High praise from Jay Barker.

Quote
"I love the University of Alabama, could not be more thrilled with coach Nick Saban and what he promised to me as a father, to take care of my son academically, make him walk the line and he's lived up to every word he's ever said to me."

High praise for CNS from dad.

Good article, X.  Thanks (and e-cred).

I liked this part:
Quote
"Now, he won't even take a picture with somebody if they have a beer in their hand. He just won't do it. It's not very good public relations for him. He doesn't want to be a part of it. He wants to be a positive role model for every kid he meets."

Looks to me like AJ is focused on the process.  :-*

He'd better be focused.  There's a bunch of us who would kick his butt if he pulled the shenanigans seen at other schools.  Of course, CNS would be first in line!

I think we've watched him mature before our very eyes. He's not the same gunslinger that caused him to get a spanking by CNS a couple of years ago. He is now a poised, talented, intelligent, complete player. His dad has a lot to be proud of, not just for what he does as a player, but also for being the person he is and what he does off the field.

#+  E-cred to his parents.  Feels good to be able to applaud GOOD parents for a change, eh?  Credit where credit is due.

I agree. It's always good to hear positive things about a Bama player and his family.  #+ To the McCarrons.

Good post X, this is what I hope we will be reading about Bama players for a long time. It sure beats what we read out of Lee County. ;)

Isn't it neat how most of these kids come to Bama and have a life changing experience under the tutleledge of CNS. Coach Saban reminds me more and more of Coach Bryant in this way.

great to be a BAMA fan these days ain't it  guys  :dunno:

sure beats the crap out of what's coming out of the other side of
the state anyway ...

I don't know about ya'll but I've missed this feeling

the feeling of pride , honor and dignity that comes from the
University of Alabama .
it's always there but just not as strong at times since 1982

we had a brief stint during Coach Stallings time at the Capstone
but for the most part it has been pretty weak since Coach Bryant retired

then Coach Moore hired Coach Saban and the rest is history with
more to come ...

it's like it use to be , the staff is the best in football , the players  are
hand picked and the cream of the crop .
it's like it was 50 years ago , when we had a bright present with
a even brighter future .

I miss Coach Bryant , a lot , don't get me wrong .
but here lately it's like I can enjoy his accomplishments more
instead of missing what he did and how he did it , wishing we had it back .

ROLL TIDE YA'LL ROLL TIDE !
