Title: Alabama's Brooke Pancake named SEC Female Athlete of the Year Post by: pmull on June 28, 2012, 01:22:13 PM Quote Pancake leaves the Crimson Tide as one of the most decorated female golfers in program history. She was a three-time All-American and three-time SEC Women's Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Pancake finished her career with a 73.08 scoring average and led Alabama with an average of 72.52. She earned the 2011 Edith Cummings Munson Award from the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) for the student-athlete with the highest GPA among first team All-Americans and was the winner of the 2010 NCAA Elite 88 Award. Pancake recently received the Paul W. Bryant Award for being Alabama's top female student-athlete in 2011-12. She carried a 4.0 grade point average and graduated in May with a bachelor of science in commerce and business administration. Earlier this month, the SEC announced that Pancake was one of its two nominees for NCAA Woman of the Year.
