It seems that after each football season since CNS was hired to coach Bama, there have been rules changes due to something that Bama has done. CNS came to Bama with an empty cupboard of players and took his lickings with a smile on his face the first year he was here. Since that year he has out recruited, outcoached, and won more games than any other coach in the nation. It seems the other coaches across the nation can't outcoach or outrecruit him so what do they do, get some rules changes to try and level up the playing field.

This year it is the playoff system that all of these losers wanted and they got it. Now what happens if CNS just waltzes into this new playoff system and wins him a couple more championships. What kind of rules changes will they demand then?

I will say that CNS has changed college football drastically as Bear Bryant did when he took the job at Bama. If CNS can match the championship number that Bear achieved, I guess they will just do away with college football or force Bama to give up the sport.

I say a lot of this in jest but it really is unbelievable how much Alabama is responsible for in the game of college football today. If not for Bear Bryant I doubt the sport would be anywhere near where it is today and now Nick Saban is taking it to another level. The beauty of all of this is that I have been blessed in a big way to have witnessed every bit of it. Roll Tide!!  ;)

You are so right, J. Bama has set standards that other schools can only dream of. Looks like they are tired of dreaming and are going to try to do whatever it takes to get a cut of the action, any way they can. All I can say is, they better be careful what they wish for.

I hope we win the NC every year.  But in the first year of this new scheme, I hope we are the #4 team and go on to win the NC.  What a good laugh that would be!!!

Like you guys I've been hooked on Bama football since 1958.  Been a great stretch and it ain't over yet!  RTR
