Which assistant coaches will have the biggest impact for upcoming year? 247Sports tell us
Two of the 12 are in Tuscaloosa, a third just left and one has done a stint at the Capstone.

Kevin Steele, meanwhile, will hit the recruiting road for the Tide after being the director of player personnel. And that's huge, so says 247Sports.

"Now getting the Man of Steele back on the road gives Saban a powerhouse force on the recruiting trail. ... But getting back on the road, in the homes of recruits where he thrives and in front of prospects and high school coaches on a regular basis will see immediate dividends to add to Alabama's already strong recruiting efforts." ...

The new assistants have just a short time to prove themselves before NSD.

Something tells me the new assistant coaches have already proven themselves or else Coach Saban would not have hired them...

There is not as much shake up on the staff as it appears IMO.

Kiffin as OC is exception. I think CNS wants Kiffin to bring an up tempo offense that mixes the run and pass. CNS wants more explosive plays and better execution in the red zone. Kiffin's offenses in the past have done that. Other than a few wrinkles and fast tempo I don't think you will be much difference

On defense Bo Davis coming back as DL coach should be a smooth transition. He coached with CNS at LSU, Dolphins and Alabama before leaving to go to Texas for 3 years. I think CNS is glad to have Davis back. The other changes are minor. Kirby smart will move from OLB to DB's which is where he needs to be. Kevin Steele comes back on the field as the OLB coach. He held this position for CNS first two Alabama teams. I love this defensive staff.

They can all coach. They can all recruit. We just need to get the team focused and prepared to win another championship in 2014.

This seems like it is going to be a lot of fun. When we find out who Coach Kiffin and Coach Davis is recruiting. RTR!

Probably the guy with the biggest impact will be Kiffin since he'll impact the whole offense.  But all these moves = big improvement in on-field coaching and player development IMO.

I will be interested to see the impact Kiff has on the QBs.
