Wow! Strong allegations by Brooks of a concerted effort by OSU administrators to try and coverup even now.

QUOTE

And now, thanks to on-the-record, documented evidence involving public statements made by Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany on two different occasions the past week that directly contradicted a formal and crucial claim in the March 8 self-report by Ohio State to the NCAA - and public statements on March 8 to the same effect by OSU Director of Athletics Gene Smith - along with an email message from an Ohio State administration official to CBSSports.com reporter Bryan Fischer on June 8, it appears we have significant reason to believe that an already ugly situation is about to get worse.

In the past 48 hours, through the discovery of the aforementioned evidence, I’ve detected what appears to be a concerted effort by Ohio State officials to conceal how the school first discovered the emails between Tressel and Columbus attorney Christopher Cicero. That would include the deliberate misrepresentation by Ohio State officials of the facts of the case  contained in the official March 8 Ohio State self-report to the NCAA.

If the emails to Tressel were indeed brought to the attention of the OSU compliance department or CJT brought them to his bosses, prior to the OSU "self report",  then we have a new level of violation.

It is one thing to fire CJT for his dishonesty and poor judgement. But it is a whole new ballgame that cannot be easily swept under the rug, when the blame rests upon the entire institution.

Hey MD, maybe pmull. Is this the first major statement from Delaney since December, or maybe March? I know he has been awkwardly silent, but just assumed he was watching until the dust settled. Maybe the Big Ten finally got sick of watching OSU trying to lie and scam their way out. Regardless, this continues to be apocalyptic to not only OSU, but the Big Ten and the yankee media that has been covering their (Big 10) mediocrity for decades.

Delaney was vocal during December that the 5 OSU players should be allowed to play in the Sugar Bowl and proper punishment would be to sit them out 5 games this year. Once the media discovered Tressel knew about everything Delaney went missing.  He came out of his cave last week. He ran his mouth constantly whenever a SEC came up, oversigning comes to mind. Once his Big 10 cash cow OSU got in touble he has been quite as a mouse. Several times on this board I have asked where is the obnoxious Big 10 Commissioner during the OSU saga.
