I think once he realized he was leaving a program that he had spent 13 years building, he decided it was too much to walk away from. Plus, all his friends and associates are in Tuscaloosa and he would be starting all over in Baton Rouge. Plus, he was probably downwind from a refinery. His wife and kids may have been unhappy, too. Billy Donovan did the same thing with Kentucky.

One drive around Baton Rouge was all it took. Other than the food Baton Rouge sucks. Plus it had to be hard leaving "his" program behind in Tuscaloosa.

He made a mistake in leaving. That said, he built this program and he was homesick. I think he realized this was a boo boo and he came home. RTR!

This is great news, no I can enjoy the Men's baseball tournament. Per CPM, he will be meeting with some of the University folks to discus the issues that he had, thank God that cooler heads prevailed. ROLL TIDE!!  Applause E-Cred

I'm wondering if Sara Patterson might have gotten involved in this because her daughter plays on the team.

Reminds me of Billy Donovan leaving UF and then coming back, although that involved a move to the NBA & not just another university job.

It reminds me of former Bama baseball coach Jim Wells resigning, talking to LSU about their opening and then asking to come back. He retired the next year.
