Title: 2021 NFL Draft
Post by: bamaphil on April 30, 2021, 06:05:34 AM
Good night for Bama in the first round - three players take in the top 10 and six first rounders in total.

6. Jaylen Waddle to Miami (reunited with Tua)
9. Patrick Surtain to Denver
10. Devonte Smith to Philadelphia (reunited with Jalen)
15. Mac Jones to New England
17. Alex Leatherwood to Las Vegas
24. Najee Harris to Pittsburgh

Who’d have thought there’d be a day when Alabama would have six first rounders, and five of them would come from the offense?

Devonte and Mac went a little lower than some projections, but the big surprise was Leatherwood going so high.

Possibly the worst move of the night was the Bears giving up their 20th overall and 5th round picks this year, and their 1st and 4th round picks next year to move up nine spots to draft Justin Fields at #11.

The Giants really got a haul.

Yeah, shows how little I know about draft potential!  Or maybe how little the NFL guys know!  :dunno:

Who gets broken in half first: Trevor Lawrence or Justin Fields?  Neither has much protection, and both were drafted for their mobility.

Deonte Brown and long snapper Thomas Fletcher went in the 6th round today to Carolina. Pretty surprised that Dylan Moses hasn't been picked yet.

I'm shocked that he didn't get picked at all.

He played well this year, so I don't think the injury would be a concern. Bama's defense was exponentially better last season than the year before when his leadership was missing. I've never heard anything negative about his character or work ethic.  :dunno:

Yeah, 7 complete rounds and he's still on the board. I don't get it.  ???

I think it has to be injury concerns and also he'd get exposed in coverage in the NFL (which he was in college as well).

I am wondering if the above has something to do with it as to coverage he was not hardly fast enough to cover but he will get a Fre Agent pick for sure. RTR!

I'm betting Moses ends up with the Patriots.
